🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Dawn Wozniak 🌟

For the past two years, Dawn Wozniak has been a steady and compassionate presence at Pottstown Beacon of Hope. Motivated by a heartfelt desire to “do good,” Dawn saw PBOH as an opportunity to serve others—and she’s been doing just that ever since.

Her favorite part of volunteering? The pure joy and gratitude she sees in our guests as she serves meals. “The excitement of the guests, their eagerness to say thank you, and the sense of caring at the center—it’s incredibly rewarding,” she shares. She loves to cook a homemade family meal for the guests and appreciates how much they seem to enjoy it.

Dawn wants others to understand a simple but powerful truth: anyone can become unhoused, and for many, it’s only a missed paycheck away. Her empathy and consistency are part of what makes PBOH feel like a true community.

Thank you, Dawn, for reminding us that small acts of kindness—like serving a warm meal—can mean the world.
